A Mother’s Love
This blog post was written by Chris’s mother, Brenda Warren. All opinions are her own and based on information that we personally know to be factual or have been told by law enforcement and medical professionals involved with this case.
Below are pictures of my son Christopher LaCourciere’s wife, Nicole LaCourciere, aka Nikki LaCourciere, aka Nicole Bowes, aka Nicole Lillian Bowes, aka Lillian Grace Bowes, and her mother. These pictures were taken last month, January 2025.
My son Christopher LaCourciere died by suicide on May 29, 2024. He died on a beach in North Carolina, mere yards away from his wife, who was sitting in the truck playing mind games with his sisters over FaceTime as they desperately tried to locate him. Help in the form of first responders did finally arrive, without the Nikki’s assistance, but it was too late to save Christopher. They transported Nikki to the hospital, but she was able to be discharged the next morning as there was nothing wrong with her. No mind altering drugs were found in her system.
These pictures are how Nikki is enjoying her life these days with her mother. The same mother that had Nikki and her daughter evicted from their home in the winter of 2022 and made them homeless. The same mother who then sued them for damages.
While Christopher’s sisters, Shannan and December and I are still struggling to cope with our grief over the loss of Christopher. We will not ever be able to enjoy a cruise with Christopher or any thing else ever again. She is enjoying cruising to the Bahamas with her mother. While in the meantime, her daughter, who was not on the cruise, was taken in by a paternal aunt because Nikki chooses not to parent her own child. She cruises while Christopher’s son is never going to be able to see his father again.
They say things happen for a reason. I guess we will never fully understand why Christopher, a kind hearted, talented, entrepreneur, sensitive but troubled soul, was taken from us; while she gets to go on “living her best life” without any cares or accountability for her part in Christopher’s death.
Life is too short. Hug your loved ones today, because you may not have tomorrow.
A note from Shannan: December and I have encouraged our mother to write her thoughts and feelings in a journal and are immensely proud of her for sharing this.
