Elcie (LC) & Blu
After being held for 10 days at New Hanover Animal Control we were able to get Chris’s babies. Elcie was extremely stressed and has lost a lot of weight but she immediately perked up when they saw us and even more when we got to our house since she had lived with us for a few months. She was so attached to Chris we weren’t sure how she was going to do but I think she is so relieved to be out of confinement that she will adjust just fine when she makes it to her new home with my sister. And a huge thank you to everyone who reached out and shared my post. A local police officer reached out and is love with our perfect gentleman “Blu Christopher” and after we give Blu a few days to decompress at home with Elsie he will be off to his new home We are very thankful to New Hanover Animal Control for ensuring the safety of Blu and Elcie and for keeping us informed of their wellbeing until we were legally able to pick them up.
So why eLCie (LC)? Fun fact, her name is a play on our last name LaCourciere…get it? LC….yeah, that was so Chris..ope!
Dog Adoption Updates: Elcie went home to Wisconsin with my sister. The first text our brother sent December on May 29th was if anything happened to him that her second son should get Elcie. Chris was adamant about it and she felt obligated. Thankfully Elcie has adjusted wonderfully and fits in perfectly.
Blu Christopher (yes, I registered him with that name) was adopted by a local Police Officer and his family. I could not have been more thrilled when he reached out and asked if he could adopt him. Blu is with a loving family and is the best unofficial official police boy ever!
